Blog Intro :)

Hello! Welcome to my blog. I wrote this blog as an introduction to my experiences with mental illness and religious extremism. Some of the entries are short stories, and some of them offer information about Scrupulosity (religious Obsessive Compulsive Disorder), mental health treatment, and recovery. You may notice that most of the entries are from September, 2020. That's because it took me a year and a half to decide to make the blog public. I have been concerned about the repercussions and stigma associated with telling these stories about myself. However, recently I began reading Parker Palmer's "Let Your Life Speak," and now I am ready to be true to my self, my whole self.

This blog isn’t meant to be updated. It’s meant to be a resource. I suggest you start with the "Brief Summary of My College Experience" entry and then read "My Back Story" (at the bottom of this first page) if you're interested in more details. If you're interested in certain topics, check out the Labels on the side of the blog. There is a list of the entry titles below, for your reference. If you're interested in my whole story, I would suggest starting with the older posts first and work your way backward (after reading "What is Scrupulosity"). Thanks for reading! I hope it's helpful... Best wishes, Jennifer
